Glitch Hop is one of the few genres I wasn't able to find an album that completely overshadows everything else. Everything I've heard so far is enjoyable, but nothing has completely amazed me. So I was kind of happy but skeptical when you recommended this one to me. Prefuse 73 is one of the pioneer of the genre and One Word Extinguisher is often regarded as his best album. So I thought, hey, maybe that's the one ?

...23 tracks ? (well, 21 without the last two unlisted). Still, that is something I never understood. Intro, Song, Interlude, Song, Interlude, etc. Rinse and repeat. What's the point ? Some of them might be "fun" on the first listen, but honestly, I don't see myself listening to those tracks a second time. They aren't that bad, but they don't bring anything. The longer songs are, on the other hand, very nice. The beats were unorthodox, sometimes glitchy and are sometimes influenced by other genres (nu jazz in Perverted Undertone). Watch out that whistling ultrasound in Choking You, it hurt my ears so much, I almost skipped the track. (second half of it is much nicer)

To resume, it's not the revolutionary glitch hop album I'm still looking for. It may be the best from the genre I've heard yet tho.

I can't keep up with 1 review per day. Honestly, I can't stop thinking on stopping this, but at the same time, I want to listen to everything... And I'm starting a new program that will be more intense than my last months so I don't know how I will keep up.

Águas da Amazônia by Uakti (composed by Philip Glass) (recommended by Arkuski)

Philip Glass arrangements played on traditional brazlian instruments. The sonorities are the most interesting aspect of the music. The minimalism tone is subdued and the songs offers more diversity than more traditional minimalistic music. Has a cool bubbly sound.

I say don't worry about doing it 1 per day, but as often as you can as long as you meet the # requirement. 1 a day is just really unnecessarily difficult. I don't blame you.

Monster Movie by Can (recommended by t-rogdor)

Nice coincidence considering that I listened to Can for the first time in my life yesterday. It was a 10 minutes excerpt from Tago Mago, with a different singer and overall more experimental than Monster Movie.
Their psychedelic side is entertaining (but nothing groundbreaking) but their experimental side is fascinating. That makes me remember that I should listen to Tago Mago completely. I liked the psychedelic guitar solos and the overall nonchalant attitude. Father Cannot Yell is totally a post-punk song. Well, proto-post-punk if there's such a genre. Amazing considering post-punk started to exist in the late 70s and this album was released in 1969.

Hesitating between 7 or 8 stars. It's more a 7½ star album.

edit about Tago Mago : the first four tracks are really good, maybe better overall than on Monster Movie. But it goes downhill with Aumgn and Peking O., they went way too much experimental for my tastes. I rated it 7 stars.

Ugh, Monster Movie is quite the interesting listen.

And yes I agree with YMIA (considering I can actually how it effects you IRL) I'd really suggest you to tone down the ratio of reviews you impose on yourself each week. Take it maybe like 2 or 3 per weeks and if you feel better you might feel like doing more or less. Like, I think we're all just really glad to have someone who actually takes their time to write and share some suggestions. Imo, I'm just glad whenever a review is posted, I don't even think about the time gap.

Monster Movie is easily Can's most accessible release, but it's also one of my favorites of theirs. Their later records, up to and including Future Days, were all highly experimental for their time and even today, to an extent. After that they kinda fell out. Not by any means bad! but once you hit Landed it's just not the same.

Monster Movie is probably my favorite release if only for Yoo Do Right, which, even at 20 minutes, is an edited version of a FOUR HOUR LONG session where they just improvised that song. Supposedly they were gonna release the whole thing but the power went out while they were recording it.

Tango Mago is one of their best for sure, but if you thought it was "too experimental" towards the end, you might dig Ege Bamyasi and Future Days more. Also, you would not at all dig anything Faust put out. I thought Tango Mago wasn't experimental enough and even I can't figure out what the fuck is going on in most Faust songs.

Hum, I remember reading it was a 6 hour long session. Crazy anyway.

Somebody else said he liked Ege Bamyasi more than Tago Mago, so I'm definitely going to check it out. Faust is another one I'm curious about. I might also listen to some NEU! or Amon Duul if I want more Krautrock but I'll start with the obvious Can.

Slow-moving ambient release. The female vocals and harp brings makes things almost angelic. Near the end, it almost vears into the dark ambient territory. It's relaxing and subtle, but not what I was looking for today.

Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus by Vince Guaraldi Trio (recommended by Jonlovesddr)

Very upbeat jazz album with strong bossa nova influences. Can get more sorrowful (Manha de Carnaval, Moon River). Had a feeling I've heard some melodies before and it feels a little bit thin/too short. The masterful piano playing and the beautiful melodies managed to keep my interest going through all the album.

Here Comes the Indian by Animal Collective (recommended by rayword45)

This album is a weird case. I actually prefer Animal Collective pre-Merriweather Post Pavilion (Sung Tongs/Feels/Strawberry Jam) but I never bothered listening to Here Comes the Indian. Maybe because it wasn't praised as much as their other stuff, I don't know, it never got my attention.
Well, it's noisy and unstructured as hell. It has some interesting ideas : the end of Infant Dressing Table, the repetition in Native Belle, the odd harmonies in Slippi. But experimental albums are hardly my thing. Listening to them is generally a fun experience, but I'm having a hard time giving them a high rating.

That one's an album that really grows on you. I wouldn't have thought of Panic as a highlight though.

Also I'm disappointed you mentioned no delay pedal fucking.
