Meh, Family Guy had its high and low points IMO. I thought the entire, "Mel Gibson/POTC" joke played too much. I mean as a Christian, I enjoy a little religious humor everym now and then, but the entire, "Rush Hour meets Jesus" thing went to far. If I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 7 at most.

American dad was almost funny enough to grab my attention, but after Stan hit his head on the wall and hit a stud, I turned the channel for its lack of humor. However, the two gay telecasters had me cracking up.

However American Dad was terribly unfunny. The only part I found humorous was "Dimmer Switches!" Hopefully FOX will cancel American Dad soon so that the 3 season of Arrested Development can commence.

I liked American Dad, and I think any of you who hate it are only doing so because it's not Family Guy.

I admit, same creator, same style of animation, same network airing them, one shared voice actor (that I know of). But it stops there. They're not the same show, so stop treating them as such.

Watch American Dad for American Dad and not for Family Guy, and you'll probably like it a lot more.

Actually, I hate American Dad because FOX cut Arrested Development's second season down to 18 episodes (instead of the promised 23) so that American Dad could make it's unfunnny debut May 1st.

Also, Arrested Development's 3rd season has been "temporarily Postponed" to make room for the production cost of Family Guy and American Dad.

Basically, Arrested Development is suffering from the same fate Family Guy did 4 years ago when it's production was "temporarily postponed."

Actually it wasnt canceled. It's production was cut first. FOX does this to prevent there shows from being picked up by other Networks as soon as a show is cancelled, that is why it took so long before Family Guy was shown on Cartoon Network and TBS.

Actually, to my surprise, I found American Dad more humorous than Family Guy.

I guess American Dad isnt all that bad, Family Guy however was disappointing, although it had its good parts (see: LD's Avatar). And the "Oh Captain, My Captain" part was a good spoof. But that was about it.

I didn't really enjoy the first eps, except for a few parts.
Family Guy: Pinnochio, Stewie spanking Chris, Sewing "Die Lois", and a few other small things.
American Dad: Roger referring to someone as a Catch-You-Next-Tuesday, and a few other things (hard to remember).

Second eps were better.

I got a kick out of Family Guy's ending and credits. The chicken fight was awesome, but if you never saw the first part I can understand just being confused for a while. Can't wait for part 3.

Ok for Family Guy, tha was one of the freates episode's ever. The whole "Bommie you've been pregnant for like 6 years" joke had me ROFL. Also the part when Quagmire make his "Gigidy" sound when watching Loius was great. But the funniest part of that episode is when God blew up the woman and he said, "Jesus Christ!" and Jesus came. The he said, "Get the Escalade. We're Out of here." I literally had to ask God o forgive me for laughing so hard.

Now I thought it was odd but for once: American Dad was truly Family Guy funny for once. Th first half of the show had me rolling from Klaus's anniversary comment to the tape of Stan getting the crap beaten out of him on Cops. Then the main plotline "getiing his wife's memory back" started to taper off with the joke starting with the squirrel. I thought, "Oh man. AD is about to not be funny." I was wrong though when AD made up for it by making Roger have a date with the really ugly girl. That entire scene in the kitchen had me cracking up.

It isn't really "adult humor". Most of the humor has to do with American politics which I don't think many people on the forums know. However, there is some regular humor in American Dad.

Ex. The toast pops out of the toaster and Stan shoots at it repeatedly.

This humor is just enough to keep the idiotic veiwers awake.

For some reason, I'm always disappointed with the new episodes of Family Guy. I'm not saying that they werent good, it just seems like Family Guy was a lot funnier before it was cancelled. Though I did get a few good laughs.

Ya, I agree with starshot. I liked the part when they were playing trivia persuit, and Peter got the fire truck question. "Fire trucks, fire trucks, what color are those fire trucks. Huh, I know this one. Huhhhhh. I saw this on the discovery channel once." And then they cut to that scene with the fire trucks in the wild with the antelope and ambulences. And after that, he kept on saying red without noticing it. That was hilarious. :lol:

The ending was a joke in itself. And it was HILARIOUS if you caught it.

Sitcoms end with a "back to normal" story. Most of the time it is explained. They didn't want to and simply chose to say "EVERYTHING IS NORMAL AGAIN FOR NO REAL REASON!"

That was awesome. Only one other show has done it that I know of, and it was the Simpsons.

Well tonight's episode was funny. The start wasn't to great but then i started to laugh really hard once Louis was in jail. I'm asian, even part chinese yet i wasn't offended by the episode.
