| Back to x After Dawn x's profile |
Okay, let's get some things straight. Posted on: August 22, 2008, at 06:14:02pm I'm going to be pretty blunt about this, so I apologize in advance if I seem a bit insensitive. Lately, I've been getting random messages on my wall that will say nothing but "hey after dawn send me a friend request", or "vote my profile." Look, I have friend requests locked for a reason. If I don't know you well, I'm not going to send you a friend request, I won't give you a profile vote, I'm not going to send you credits, and I won't send you challenges. If you want to become friends with me, initiate conversation. Get to know me first, and maybe I'll get to know you. That is how all friendships start. Maybe then, I will add you and give you a profile vote. If I've seen you around the FFR community for some time (whether it's profile chat, multiplayer, forums, or profiles), then I will most likely consider adding you as a friend and upvoting you. But by posting a random message on my wall saying "add me", I'm not going to add you. And telling me that you upvoted my profile won't work either as I really do not care about profile votes and I'm not going to vote back. And just so everybody knows, I delete all my comments after every 1000th comment. --- |

It wasn't random, I spoke to you back and forth in a few comments and I added you because we both root for the Oilers and I thought we had something in common.

Your concept of FFR Friendship has no more meaning than the adding over a simple spamming. Initiate a conversation? Initiate a friendslist quest! It's the same thing.. the only difference is the cryptology of the password you decided to use. You involve more steps, and prolong the length of time.. but a longer brute force attack is still just a brute force attack. Initiation of conversation is no different than initiation of a friend request and profile vote. What more do you get out of it? Proof of someone willing to endure bullshit / engage a 256-bit key instead of 128. Come on man. And add me btw :')

The difference is that I don't half to have feeds and updates for people who blog everyday and who I don't even know.
