how long does it normally take for newgrounds to upload a song?

i uploaded a song like 4 days ago.

tetris is pretty boring normally, but the breaks were cool.

if its your first time uploading a song, it takes a while. but after that, uploads are instantaneous.


btw who cares, its alright, maybe speed the beginning up and add a more definite percussion beat?

It was actually pretty sweet, though I think you should definitely have it faster. Like have just a tad faster than the ending in the whole beginning, then have it speed up even faster for the ending.

So you have two options:

1. Either make the breaks so amazing that I forget you're even using them or until they don't even sound like the same drum snare in every car commercial over the last 4 years

2. Try out some different breaks. Give other percussion samples a go. There's plenty out there and there's no reason you shouldn't be using them! Make your own samples. Take a mic and hit random **** in your house. Your artist ability is limited to what you choose to do.

The main issue is that Type A isn't even your song, so that leaves the percussion up to your integrity. If you can't make it any more exciting, structured and dynamic then I and potentially many many other musicians won't take your stuff seriously.

actually .. i think you need more amen break .. at least a cleaner sample. BUT if you want a better break to use I honestly recommend Apache or the Funky drummer ... funky drummer is your standard jungle break, but only because the snare in the funky drummer is SO amazingly hot.. If you really want to get serious you can start mixing breaks and pull single hits from various drum loops.

example.

kick drum from the think.

snare from the funky drummer

hats and crash from the amen

bongos from the apache ( for flavAH!)

then if you want to get that real breakcore/idm sound. take quick 808 kick and pitch it up about 12-20 semitones and throw some flowing pitch shifts on a 32nd roll.
