I haven't created a thread on the brag board since I don't have much proof of me playing because I play on the upstairs computer which has no internet and I don't have any flash drives on hand and I jammed my CD tray.
I was on the upstairs computer last night and I was showing my friend's brother my skill level of Stepmania since he was curious how good I was and I surprised even myself. I got 6 perfects on Ageha with him standing behind me watching. I don't know if it was the pressure that made me do better, but I know one thing. I can't get under 16 perfects on Ageha today. I never thought I could ever be so close to AAAA'ing a song like that. In other news: I found out that I can get a pretty decent combo on B.B. Revenge with rate 1.2x. |

There are certain people that bring skill out of me, and I call them my lucky charms. Even though I'm running out of songs to improve on, I got rank 25 on Death Piano, booflagged K8107, and AAAd Gaussian Blur (5th FMO AAA ever) recently while my friend was in the room... weird.

Agreed. Whenever I play at my friend's house, both the pressure to do well combined with the fact that his keyboard is completely amazing helps me get scores I couldn't possibly achieve at home by myself. Examples include the vast majority of my sightread challenging and very challenging AAAs, my AIM AAA, and my CP score.

In most cases pressure does affect someone's PA or combo abilities.

I AAA'd None Would Escape today and all I felt was adrenaline. My family was in the living room with me but they don't care about FFR so they were watching TV.
I haven't tried attempting an OMG INSANE AAA while one of my friends are watching me. Maybe I should do that sometime.
