What's with random thumbs down?

Why do some people go around giving everyone thumbs down for no reason. Do they think they are cool? I don't get it. For example - http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...+The+Almighty/

"I don't play FFR but I think it's fun to give everyone thumbs down! YEAHH!!"

Not that it matters but just wondering..

Well you see, this forum section is about FFR Profiles and I happen to have a question. So I would think it is thread worthy.

Come on guys, he just wants to know why there are so many down voters these days.

On topic: The only thing I can tell you is this, they probably want attention, just like the random up voters. Although if you do get a down vote it doesn't do anything, it doesn't even add towards your vote count.

Does it matter? It is a vote, doesnt count against you or anything, there are still hundreds of thousands of people in this community to give you a thumbs up. One or two people shouldn't hurt.
