Default so there's this guy called darkhawk531

And claims he can do 18-19 keytaps a second, go watch his video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qdu2SgYeVzw

lol I want your opinions on this, to see if this really is legit. He uses fraps but you can't hear his keytaps clearly, and he combos the jackhammers while getting a few cbs on the trills which are a lot easier than the jacks.

And for those of you that think I'm posting this just to annoy him, I actually just want to know if you think if this is legit or not. Because if it is, he could be the new "wooke". And he never posts here so....

Ok, but do you have any evidence or knowledge to why it is? Because if you post it in this thread he could understand a little more when I show him this thread link.

I would say BS simply because he doesn't have any video's showing his hands. He has added videos after his first one. His first one asks for his hands to show or BS. He still refuses to show his hands. I say BS, but I don't have any hard evidence.

He just PM'ed me saying he doesn't have any access to a video camera, only FRAPS. But yeah, Dynamo on odi said 1.2x rate seems possible if you can have a really good consistency but not 1.3x rate as far as he knows

What funmonkey said. I think it's BS, but I have no proof or anything. The no hands thing is kinda odd. Finding a camera to video tape your hands isn't too difficult. In fact, though it would be poor quality, 90% of cell phones have that capability. So I won't claim BS, nor legit, unless I see a video with hands/taps.

I'll say what I said on ODI:

Do you seriously need to ask if this is legit? Look at the freaking PA spread. It's clearly double setup. Not to mention the fact that maintaining that kind of consistency + speed is silly. Maintaining 19-20 taps a second for that kind of duration is far beyond world record vibration speed maintenance.

Do some research. For instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7TzWrKso4I
This is roughly 600 strokes per hand for 60 seconds, or 10 strokes per hand per second maintained for a minute. Maintaining 20 tps for so many jackhammers, and for maybe 5-6 seconds per jackhammer glut, is just ludicrous. The fact that he also screwed up the easy freezes is indicative that he's also likely using double setup. Furthermore, I don't know about keytaps, but if you're hearing them, you shouldn't. 18-20 tps bursts on a keyboard shouldn't really have much noise if you're vibrating correctly. Average hand vibration speed for a good Stepmania player who knows how to maintain vibrations should be around 16, and even then it won't be consistent enough to warrant that kind of PA spread. Additionally, to claim something like 18-20 tps and to be able to MAINTAIN that for so many jacks is not humanly feasible. At that speed your hands would undoubtedly start to tire out.

Clearly fake.

Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzGeMvryKt8
Yeah he screws up the jumpgluts alright. Be Lovin jumpgluts at 2.0x is too much for him, but Jackhammer Madness? No problem!

Wasn't this video proven BS a long time ago? I remember people asking if this was BS like 8 months ago.

Yeah, I think what Rubix just said is true. Requesting lock since I don't want this attracting anymore attention than it should have.

And 16 taps a second is still pretty high for the standard of a good stepmania player lol

Well, great Stepmania player, then. Perhaps 13-14 is more "appropriate." But I still think the best of the best when it comes to Stepmania vibration still lingers in the 15-16 tps range (for ~10 second max durations)

If it's 15-16 tps, then jackhammer madness seems very possible on 1.2x rate. But 1.3x rate meh
