Portal
There was a TWG thread on the game Portal, which released on The Orange Box for 360, on the PC, and the PS3 last year, but I haven't seen a discussion thread.
So I just beat the game for the 2nd time on 360 to show my mom and my uncle, and they both liked it so much they're buying it for their computers. I've also completed all the Advanced Levels, got all the Least Portal Gold Medals, and I'm working on the rest of the Gold Medal Challenges. It's very fun, and very addicting. If you don't already have this game, it's a must-buy. It's an absolutely astounding game, and it never ceases to amaze me. It's revolutionary, and has an impeccable plot to seal the deal. Buy Wiki Teaser Trailer Portal Levels 1 to 10 (Part 1 of 4) Portal Levels 1 to 10 (Part 2 of 4) Portal Levels 1 to 10 (Part 3 of 4) Portal Levels 1 to 10 (Part 4 of 4) PortalWalkthroughs.com Don't be fooled—this is not the end of the game, it's just to give you an idea if you're a bit stingy on spending 20 to 50 bucks. Now converse!

You euthanized your faithful companion cube more quickly than any other test subject on record. Congratulations.

Re: Portal
i played the game for about an hour on MalDONs computer a few months back... got up to mission 18 or so in about an hour. stopped there.
i've seen a speedrun of the full game... this it was beat in about 15 minutes or so. some retardedly sick glitches were used. also a big fan of Portal: The Flash Version... 40 levels, pretty fun and challenging in a 2D portal environment.

Re: Portal
Bought the Orange Box for my PC a couple months back, but little did I know my graphics card is to old to play anything but the original Half Life 2, so I have TF2 and Portal shortcuts on my desktop I never use. =[ I love Portal though regardless, I've played it many times at my friend's house.

Re: Portal
Wow. Portal is one of the funniest games I've ever played!

"The cake is a lie"
I really need to get around playing this on a computer with a better graphics card. It looks so fun and innovative; it takes video games into a different perspective. |

Re: Portal
I absolutely love Portal. I played the original (a game called Narbacular Drop) years ago, and I was so excited to see a new version of it coming out on the Steam platform. Amazing game.

"You're kidding me. Did you just stuff that Aperture Science Thing We Don't Know What It Does into an Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator? That has got to be the dumbest thing that- Whoa, Whoa, WHOAAA... Heh heh heh heh... Good news. I figured out what that thing you just incinerated did. It was a Morality Core they installed after I flooded the enrichment center with a deadly neurotoxin to make me stop flooding the enrichment center with a deadly neurotoxin..." I always liked finding new ways to get to the end. I also figured out you can stand in the center of portals and open up new ones without falling out. Found out later it's pretty well known and used in speed runs. |

My favorite trick is stick 2 portal on a wall, going halfway through one and shooting another. You just keep repeating until you skip major parts of the game. Pretteh coool.

Re: Portal
Portal: Still Alive was recently announced at E3 as the sequel to portal. I'm not sure when it's coming out, but previously I was led to believe sometime in 2009.
On another note, Netflix will soon be available through the 360 dashboard. You can subscribe to download unlimited movies per month (or something like that), or purchase each individual movie. In addition, you may invite people from your friends list to watch movies with you free of charge. Isn't that neat, boys and girls?
