Default Remaking old songs

I think it would be a REALLY good idea to take the absolutely ancient FFR songs (stuff like 100 Bar Blackout, 136.6, etc) and fix them. Trash the terrible background animations, fix broken jumps, and line up arrows that fall a little bit off the beat. Syncing stuff like Massive, which is about half a beat offsync, would be pretty nice too.

Seeing as how all of them, for the most part, are 3-minute songs with 500 arrows, it shouldn't be that big of an undertaking when it comes down to it. Heck, I'd do it if nobody else would.

No. Those songs are part of history, and you can't change history.

Yes you can, especially if it's off-beat and horrible.

No actually it's not. This is pretty much the answer you are going to get from any of the admins as well.

Just learn your weakpoints in the songs and work it out. Autofail works, and soon avemisses won't be an issue as well.

That wasn't a joke. That's what Synthlight would say if you asked him.

Edit: ninja'd

Will maybe be fixed for 3rd style and 50% of the offbeat songs already have V2s.

There's some strategies you can use to AAA some horrible songs such as Story of Demon frog girl or wudever.

*edit*
Just AAA it and move on.

a thread like this pops up about once every month or two... and the response is always the same:

Those files have been around since mid 2002. They aren't going anywhere. Some get honored by a v2... others do not. *shrugs*. When 3rd styles graces us with its presence, there will not be any files like those to deal with.

for 2nd style = no
for 3rd style = yes

I doubt songs like 100BB/136.6 will be used on 3rd style though.

Edit: Never mind, stupid question.

OP: The "historical songs" are never going to be changed, as much as I hate them because they are impossible for me to AAA. >=(

It's nice to get all nostalgic, but your history is that you guys couldn't make files worth a crap. Is it really so nice to remember some of the worst files on the internet (which is saying a whole damn lot)?
