Mods and Admins

I was wondering if any of you admins or moderators need an extra moderator for the mid night crew cause sometimes people arent what they seem at mid night and Iam usually up past mid night so let me know!!

Asking to be a moderator isn't the way that moderators become such. To be very blunt, I've never heard of you, know nothing about you, and as a result, have a list of several dozen people who I'd suggest to become a moderator that doesn't include you.

It isn't just the desire, the availability or even the ability to moderate well that makes a moderator. Becoming engaged with the community in a way that shows the existing staff that you are a dedicated member of the community with a vested interest in seeing it grow, and over time, show yourself to be a helpful, quality poster and you will have started down the right path.

If I were you I'ld edit that post....I asked to be a mod once and people still hate me for it after two years almost

I'll never really understand why so many people miss the idea that mods are selected based on a long history of simply being solid members of the community, and not via volunteering, or applying.

I'd say that anyone who has been here as a commonly participating member of the forum for more than a year and a half could write up a list of who they think the next 10 mods will be, and I'd be willing to bet that a) There would be no more than 50 names on the grand total list and b) that probably 8 of the next 10 mods would be from that list.

I would really have no interest in being a mod, to much to work with if you ask me, have to spend more time answered dumb question to n00bs or legit questions for more common people.
All in all, half of the questions they ask are answered in forums and FAQ.

Sadly most of the people that I would want to be a mod already are lol.
