I know what you guys are thinking. OMFG another thread about MrRubix, however it isn't. So no talking about MrRubix's ffr scores or anything else for that matter. This thread is just about solving any of the Rubik's puzzles and any special way that you like to solve it. Post your times and various puzzles here and I'll compile a list. And we can see just how many people can A solve a Rubik's cube and B how good they are. This is a hobby that I really enjoy so I hope that people can appreciate it. Enjoy ^.^

Hmmm...my fastest time is like ~45 seconds.
My fastest time while solving a Rubik's Cube upside down is 57, one hand is like 2.5 minutes. I think I'm getting a Revenge for Christmas. Are they that much harder? Edit: Bender, just wondering, how many OLL and PLL algorithims do you know? That's a really good time. Last edited by aTzUeLo1191; 12-7-2007 at 02:25 PM.. |

You are probably not gonna believe that I got lazy and don't know ANY OLL or PLL algs I know 4 from the F2L and do the last layer using the most basic technique XD
I prefer 3x3's over anything however if you are getting a bigger cube I suggest getting a 5x5 I like it much more then the 4x4 my best friend has

2x2x2 Fastest Time:
4 seconds 3x3x3 Fastest Time: 12 seconds 4x4x4 Fastest Time: 1 minute 3 seconds 5x5x5 Fastest Time: 3 minutes 30 seconds Megaminx Fastest Time: 3 minutes 5 seconds Square-1 Fastest Time: 20-something minutes. First try on the puzzle too using only Rubik's solving logic. Could probably get times below 1 minute with a strategy, but I don't care enough about it. 2x2x2 Blindfolded Fastest Time (time denotes memorization + solving): 16 seconds 3x3x3 Blindfolded Fastest Time (time denotes memorization + solving): 54 seconds 4x4x4 Blindfolded Fastest Time (time denotes memorization + solving): 6 minutes 30-something seconds 5x5x5 Blindfolded Fastest Time (time denotes memorization + solving): 14 minutes 3x3x3 Blindfolded Relay Fastest Time (time denotes memorizing all cubes + solving all cubes): Three 3x3x3's in 8 minutes 40-something seconds (I've done faster but I can't remember the times) Ten 3x3x3's in 35 minutes Multi-Cube Blindfolded Relay Fastest Time (time denotes memorizing all cubes + solving all cubes): Two 5x5x5's, Two 4x4x4's, 6 3x3x3's, 4 2x2x2's in about 1 hour 45 minutes I haven't cubed seriously for a long, long time though (I tried teaching Sprite how to do a 3x3x3 blindfolded... he was making pretty good progress too. The edges can be tricky to work with). I'm a lot slower now, but if I were to seriously practice, I could probably start getting good times again. haii rubix
Because I never took my time to learn the fridrich method in more completion I learned about 4-8 algorithms in the F2L. I solve the rest using basic layer by layer method. I am going to start working on my times a bit and working on the algs soon hopefully

Say I were to learn just 2-4 F2L algs...then try and repeat those until I get my F2L's done. Is that a smart idea? Or should I try learning more?
No they aren't, you retard. Last edited by aTzUeLo1191; 12-9-2007 at 01:01 PM.. |

I just got 1 minute 38 seconds which is for me good. Also, I'm using the Layer-by-Layer newbie method but I tried learning the Petrus and when I'll be comfortable enough, I'll do the Fridrich.
