FFR Christmas Project

FFR does a lot of cool things with its users. We've held tons of spontaneous contests, a few tournaments, numerous giant releases into the FFR game (token month, subscriber week). Next comes an FFR Christmas simfile project

I have an album called Dancemania Christmas Speed, and I believe the majority of these songs are simfile worthy. So what are we going to do about that? We're going to create simfiles for each song in the album. All 20 songs

What we're going to do, is each of us will step one song in this album. 20 songs in the album, 20 simfile artists to step one song each. Once we have all of the simfiles completed, I will fuse all of the simfiles together to create one giant marathon simfile. Once we do that, we release. Or... wait until the release date. Release date is December 24. We will release this huge marathon file on Christmas Eve, then a couple days later, we'll release the simfiles individually.

Yes, you're probably thinking we're crazy. If you've been an FFR regular for a while, you should know how crazy we are when we do things. The marathon simfile will probably end up being 52 minutes long give or take a few minutes. Its up to you guys whether or not you play it, but either way, we're making it


We'll be making two simfile charts to these songs. Pad steps, and keyboard steps. Pad steps are going to pretty much be equal to a 9.5 footer on DDR. (Think Cartoon Heroes in difficulty) And the keyboard steps will be 11 or 12 footers.

Discussion can go on in this thread. You can say how you're so looking forward to this or how we're so incredibly crazy for attempting to create the longest simfile of all time.

This is FFR's first stepmania based project. An FFR Collaboration simfile.

So, um, what exactly should the keyboard charts be like? I'm guessing we're not trying to make technical sims, just fun files that go with the music, and are enjoyable for both spread and index players.

I apologize to everyone who isn't going to be involved in this project. We've got about one month to get this done, and I got a group of simfile artists together myself so we could all work on this so I know we could get it done on time.

This will be one of the big Christmas things we'll be doing this year.


dore - If the majority of the simfile authors agree with putting hands and mines in the files, we'll do so. Until then, I'd say no.


EnR - You guys have until December 15th to send me your simfiles
