Yeah, took me forever to get but in the process I got better at 3 framers and mashing...lol.
You'll get it eventually and Syage is totally worth it.

Keep trying, you'll get it soon enough.
I pulled off an 800-ish combo but died when I mashed the heck out of the 12ths near the end of the song trying to keep my combo. Apparently you don't actually need to pass the song for the token.
