hey guys, i've been making music for quite a while now, and i wanna know what people think of it. [they are in the links at the bottom]
I use a program called Fruity Loops Studio 6.0 XXL Edition Its a great program Please help me out, and tell me what you think of the songs. every comment counts and helps me out ![]() also, i know nobody will do this, i'm trying to make some extra money for DJ Equipment. The songs cost $0.99 by paypal. If you got a crazy urge to get it, that would be great! So tell me what you think. here are 5 songs. http://www.loudio.com/Music/Electron...uillize-.44920 http://www.loudio.com/Music/Electron...e-Storm-.44928 http://www.loudio.com/Music/Electron...th-Wave-.44926 http://www.loudio.com/Music/Electron...Control-.44924 http://www.loudio.com/Music/Electron...ecognize.44923 |

You my friend, without a doubt, know how a track should be formulated. How buildups work, and how breakdowns smooth in. Great, great, great job with that. It makes the track completely and totally professional. Love the use of the sound effects.
Very, very good composing with the tracks. Everything fits well and it just sounds good to listen to. My only complaint is that some of the treble percussion is too loud, and at times can overpower the buildup parts. You can easily fix this by adding reverb to them. Also, at times, some of the instruments don't seem balanced. Like, on Take Control, I keep thinking the high part should go higher. Seriously, though, fantastic stuff. Keep this up, and you'll go a long way. Edit: The percussion on Recognize seems weird for some reason, could be just me. |

Definately good stuff man! Sounds very industry standard! Sounds very familiar to something Darude would produce... Don;t know if it's 'new era of techno', but you definately have it going... Keep it up

What am I doing here?

Well, I'd have to say that these are put together pretty well, but in the end nothing really struck me one way or the other. I didn't feel any parts of the songs to be particularly awesome (Like I know I wait for some songs to do that :P), or particularly bad. Everything seemed to have the same sort of feeling to me. Though, I think this is more due to the nature of trance, but still. I didn't feel like the songs really took me anywhere special.
Yay for abstract reviews! |

i'm going to have to agree with valtrix. i listened to the 5 tracks you posted and they were all pretty good, well structured, good synth work, and decent work with the drums, but nothing really made me feel pumped or energetic like i would typically expect from trance. this is definitely going somewhere good though, you have a great talent. keep up the good work and you'll get far.
cheers
