is the arcade DDR mechines easier to play with your shoes on [i take my shoes off] ? I cant play without the bar behind me and i still fail standard songs >

you are extremely stupid if you play arcade DDR with your shoes off. of course it's easier with shoes, much safer too.

really? cuz i started playing with my shoes off cuz these 13 yr olds where like 'you have to take your shoes off' or something.. <_< i tryed once with shoes after i started playing and it was weird

It all depends on what you're used to. I play at home and it took me a while to get used to playing with shoes on my CF pad. You honestly shouldn't use a bar at all until you're on 9 foot songs... It takes longer, but you'll gain the kind of balance that is necessary to do well on the most difficult songs. Even if you never "plan" on reaching that level, you'll suffer throughout the entire climb up if you don't have the required balance.

Hr2 - I usually play barefoot on my Flux because with shoes the pad tends to slide forward. In the arcade though I always wear shoes.

I seen a girl 1x play ddr at the arcade with no shoes on n I swear I think I heard the bones in hear feet crack or suttin. But n e wayz dun play ddr w/o shoes n incase ya dun believe me there is supposed to be a sign on the ddr machine itself that says DONT PLAY BAREFOOT. I dunno if other verisons or newer versions in ur area have that sign but it was on every ddr machine i've eva seen.

Unless the pads are solid metal, don't play barefoot EVER! Hard plastic pads do crack and will cut your feet up if you play barefoot.

I play on PIU machines without my shoes. Gives me that home feel. Only disadvantage is that my feet slide. Of course i'll have dirty socks after...
