Default Save The Vowels! Movement

It all started a very long time ago....our ancestors started communicating with different sounds. Since then, our languages have developed into an easy way of communicating with others.

Which brings me to my point:

WE NEED CHANGE.

Here at FFR, we seem to have grown lazy, what with all of the "txt" talk going on around here. Please, for the sake of others, type out the entire word. We'll be doing our forefathers proud.

Here is an example of a GOOD sentence:

"Hello, Lucy. I wish to take you on a bike ride."

Here is an example of a BAD sentence:

"sup lucy. i wsh to take u o/a bik ride"

If we all work together, we may someday rid the world of txt talk, and save the vowels!

If you support this movement, tell me in this thread, and then paste this image in your sig:

It isn't that big of a deal. But since I already type out my words, I'll join. I mean, it is pretty annoying, but it isn't that annoying.

But it is a big deal!!A lot of people don't realize it, but if you use "txt tlk" on the Internet, sometimes you will do that, when writing a paper, or something else.

In before Squeek.

You know, you could always get off your high-horse and realize that not everyone types properly. Trust me, I went through the exact same phase you did, but believe me, no matter how hard you try, how hard you post, how hard you wine, there's always going to be someone typing improperly.
isn't that right, Squeek?

EDIT: True, but it's worth a shot.

I'd say it like this but whatever, "Yo, Lucy, I want to take you on a bike ride to my house and get funky."

Although grammer is equally important, I am trying to stay on-topic. And again, plenty of people do.

Txt tlk is why I feel like an idiot when I talk to people in AIM, Runescape, or any other txt tlk hotspots. At least FFR has some actual typers. I type in a whole sentence with correct punctuation, grammar, and most of the time, spelling, while a ton of others are like, "omg ppls tisnf i lst mi stuf plz gmme sum credz r itmz." I can hardly read that myself. In fact, that took me longer to type. So please people, dont txt tlk. I support 100%.

Sorry for paragraph, I just like to take a couple of minutes to get my thoughts typed.

Dude, that's the VERY reason why he made this thread. There's no "high horse" about it, either. Typing full words is the norm, the average, the datum. It's not that he's at all above the line, it's that so many more people have sunk to the sewer-dwelling level of text talkers.

Nobody actually expects to convert the entire internet into good typists. One at a time is perfectly acceptable for me.

Sentences I thought I never would have to type.

Both points taken. The only people who don't start out typing in full sentences are AIM addicts and/or Myspace junkies, etc. As if, in every day life, you hear people saying "Oh em gee, luk at this new wtch, iznt it teh leet? It wz tunz o buks n teh ntrn3tz. I r soooooooooo gld me gt it omg oh em geee exclaimation mark shift plus wun" (off the top of my head). People really need to figure out that they don't look smart or cool by typing like that. Sure, it may take a while, or it may only get done one person at a time, but at least it will help clean up the overall look of these forums, if not many forums.

Think of people who use more forums than this. This thread could revolutionize grammar on the internet. txt tlker's see this thread and clean up their act. They go to other forums and post about grammar. Then the choin just keeps going. Could happen, but it's just a thought.

Would anyone like to add anything?
