Amateur Tier Points
Its a great system, the tier point system. Truly. But if only a handful of people can handle them, then its hardly fun for use common sub 5,000 rank peasants.
So, I think a good thing would to be introduce a whole new set of requirements for the easy songs and have an Amateur points system. Or at least be allowed to get Tier Points on this system from easier songs. Any takers? EDIT --OK, these are the songs to do reqs for. If you support this, it would be greatly appricated idf you could sumbit some reqs for them. Post them here, PM me, or e-mail me. Songs!!! Re: Amateur Tier Points
Tier points are here for the skilled players, Hence why they are hard to get
Amateur Tier point system MIGHT be overrun by skilled players anyway being most of them have AAAd all the easy songs in the game. It could work out I guess, but chances are slim. |

Re: Amateur Tier Points
I'm all for having the less skilled players working to get better and better. I think that there should be a whole seperate page for this, but not a top players board because if you're the best in ATP then you should just move onto regular tierpoints. Or have someone manually take out the pros.

Re: Amateur Tier Points
25 or fewer on dendrite should be worth more than 30 or fewer or free space, so it should be more like AAA/5 or fewer/sdg/20 or fewer/30 or fewer/50 or fewer for dendrite, worth 6/5/4/3/2/1 points, unlike your list, which skipped 4.

Re: Amateur Tier Points
I dont really like this idea. If a person wants Tier points, practice, become better at the game, then FC some challenging songs and unlock a few. Like someone said above, Tier points are for skilled players.
I just don't think there should be AMATEUR Tier Points |

Re: Amateur Tier Points
Wouldn't it make more sense to keep everyone on the same scale? Maybe all songs should have some sort of Tier Point reward. An AAA on Mario would be like .05 Real Tier Points, the same Tier Point used in the top players thread. An AAA on Free Space would be like .1 Tier Points, and so on.

Re: Amateur Tier Points
i've only just recently started getting tier points, got like 10 right now, so you just got to stick with it andkeep practicing and then your skills will develope and the requirements will be easier to get.

Re: Amateur Tier Points
Completely against this.
Good players shouldn't have to play all of the easy songs. They're easy, and all the good players can already AAA them, so there's no point in giving out points for them. The whole point of the tier system is to show how skilled you really are, not how much you play. Including billions of songs to the list only favors those that play the most FFR and not the most skilled. And as pandaman already mentioned...you do get tier points for playing easier songs from total # of AAA's.
