Besides, stepmania's only main advantage is the ability to add and create whatever song you want. FFR has the ranking system which is a big win, the charts and songs in ffr are well made and fun for the most part, its more organized than sm, it has a good spread of difficulty compared to the SM packs out there. Its good enough for me to play even though I started with SM first.

Who cares what theme you have? Interface does nothing to effect gameplay. Stepmania and FFR are equally fun.

if you actually know what the hell you are doing you can alter the ranking system in the stepmania metrics or download a theme with a better ranking system, plus you can change any element of the game..

like i did here.

my amazing theme.

and that horrible score, was not me....
