A lot of practice. In order to AAA, you need to be able to rely more on the beats than the position the arrows come up on.

I think the easiest song to AAA is Excite Bike if you haven't tried yet. I can AAA that almost every single time.

Fool around with a song, and test at what timings a song will give you a Perfect. Test your boundaries, then learn to keep timing enough to stay inside those boundaries.

If you're looking for a quick AAA, go for Excite Bike. It has some speed to it, but with only 32 notes over 9 seconds, it's probably the easiest to do. I made my friend play it over and over until he AAA'd it. Took him 40 or so tries, but he got it.

it takes alot of practice, and alot of patience, there are alot of songs that i have blackflags on that i still haven't AAA'd, but there are some that i have had previous blackflags on and conquered, just be patient.

Go for the shorter or slower songs. I've also noticed that the way you mentally process arrow patterns coming at you plays a big part. Whenever I come to streams, I try to never think of arrows one at a time or in big groups otherwise I get overwhelmed and rush.
I tend to think of them in groups of two or three at a time, usually splitting the groups left and right between the up and down arrow targets. But if that's too confusing I've found that paying closer attention to the up and down arrows in the middle helps my PA.

You've only played 1,500 games.

Trust me, stick with FFR, and in about 10,000 more games, you'll be AAAing stuff regularly.

The only problem is when you start to blackflag songs.

If you think you hate not getting AAA's, when you start blackflagging (1 good, rest perfects) songs, that is when you start getting mad.

I only started trying to AAA things when that first skill token song came out. You just have to have something to motivate you to the point of obsession and constantly playing.

Sometimes I turn off the autofail option the first several run-throughs to get the full feeling of the song. After that, autofail is your best friend.
