Probably by habit.

Sometimes on crazier songs, you will miss one and forget that getting one miss is expected and end up booing out before you realise what youve done..
OR... sometimes you just get so mad you boo out out of habit as well...
That or he may have not known how many misses the freeze got him so he failed out thinking the worse.

Seeing you only had about 14 misses and you said you booed out, that means you recovered without too much damage so it must be the first or second.
