...plug in a DDR mat into the computer, set up the mat so that the arrows on the mat are the same as the keyboard, and play FFR with the mat? I know nothing about computers and I have never tryed using controllers/mats with the computer, so if this works, I'd really like to try it.

I've heard it's possible, although I have no idea how. It seems like it would be a LOOONG process though...not sure.

Yeah, stepmania is actually where I got the idea. I thought it'd be a pretty neat idea if you could play FFR with a mat as well.

You can't really because of all the boos that you get, unless of course you play DDR by floating above the pad.

Ouch, that's a good point. Still, I don't think that'll be a problem in R2 or Resonance.

It would lose it's novelty very quickly, I'm sure. You'd be much better off just doing it with Stepmania.

on your computer:
Start > Control Panel > Keyboard > set repeat delay to long and repeat rate It won't turn the repeat off, but it will make it less likely that you will repeat the note. |

Well, if you can't turn it off completely, then I guess this whole thing isn't worth trying.

Well, the chances of you standing on the same arrow for more than 5 seconds is pretty rare.

It's actually really fun. Too bad there's like one good pad file on all of FFR (Tsugaru 180 is my favorite)

Well, I suppose I could try, it'll probably work for certain songs. Thanks everyone.

I tried a usb mat of my friends to play SM but it was sort of laggy, I had to hit the notes a little early.. Id say play the real DDR or just stick to keyboards.
