BMP is a file format used for storing images. (BitMap Picture... or might be Pixel - whatever)
BPM is a ratio of divisions. In otherwords, Beats/Minute, or Beats Per Minute. It's a number that tells you the number of 4th notes (Red in colour, traditionally) that will go by in 1 minute's time. The higher the BPM, the more notes that pass through. 60BPM means 1.000 notes pass by every second, etc.
