New simfile to test
Hello. I'm not much of a FFR player; in fact, the last time I was here was eons ago when FFR was still young. But recently, I have discovered StepMania and gained a renewed understanding of DDR and thus FFR. To that effect, I've already begun to create my own simfiles.
The following simfile is the first that I created, but I haven't put it up on FFR's database yet, because I want somebody else to test it and give comments to it, and, well, because I'm a bit leery and paranoid. Would anyone be willing to do this for me? Here is the file: Simfile to test |

Re: New simfile to test
Chalkzone lol. I thought it was a horrible song choice, but these graphics and steps are too good to be your first simfile. I tested all 5 difficulties, and the only real problem I had with it was the bpm. I would've enjoyed it more if it was, say double that, but that's what 2x is for. Good job.
EDIT: Oh yeah, this is definitely a pad file, just in case anyone was wondering.

Re: New simfile to test
Thanks for the comments. They're really constructive.
I had the same trouble too with the BPM; I thought, "Did I want to have it on 90 or 180?" Ultimately, I decided to have it on 90 because that's what I caught the beat on and because I thought I'd shelve higher BPM numbers for harder songs; for this song, I thought I'd keep it simple. And also, it kind of, sort of adds an extra layer of difficulty (at least if people are playing on normal speed). Yes, this is truly my first simfile; after hearing the tune so many times, I got inspired to make steps for it. To make a long story short, I taught myself how to make stepsets in SM and combined it with what little Photoshop experience I had to make this simfile. Does anyone else have further comments? |
