I just needed to talk about this game. It's definatly under achknowleded by too many people. I was like the majority before, I thought The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker would be a terrible game because of the cell shaded graphics. I plain and simpily refused to play it. When it was coming to stores you could pre-order the game and for most cases you could get the special Ocarina of Time/Master Quest disk with it. So I wanted the special disk, not The Wind Waker, so I got my pre-order, got the special disk. When the game came to stores, I had my money on reserve so I wasn't going to have spent the money just on this anyway. I went and bought The Wind Waker with the rest. After turning it on for the first time, I saw the graphics up close and it didn't look all that bad anymore. The detail was amazing. I started playing it and it only took about half a minute to get addicting. The game play is incredible, the entertainment value is so high. And yes, I think the graphics are great now! I wouldn't even mind if they made all future Zelda games like this. Basically though, don't just here about the cartoony graphics once and refuse to play, you're missing one of the best games ever if you do.

I rented it, and hated it.
Cartoon grahpics really hurt it. Plus you can't even be adolecent Link. No big sword with giant muscles. Comon'.

Yeah it takes place like 100 years after ocarina of time and they really made the story line work well. Interpreting the past to the future, the game takes place on a bunch of islands. Well this doesn't seem like hyrule but is it...?
Storyline, graphics, amount of fun, etc. they're all great in my opinion. |

The Wind Waker takes place like, 400 years after the Ocarina of Time, because in the beginning it says, "And the story passed through generations until it became legend..."
That's got to be ALOT of generations to make it a legend. Anyhoo, it's a great game, my dad is playing it as I type this.

The Wind Waker is by far one of the worst Zelda games to date...now, I'm not saying it's a bad game, as pretty much every zelda game has been good and therefore has some high standards, but seriously it sucks compared to, say, Ocerina or Link to the past.
Wow that sentance was run on like a mother. |
