So I look at my levelrank for the first time in ages and this is what I see.

35 2 Excite Bike 49,600

35? THIRTY-FIVE??? 2 or 3 or even 4 I've seen, but 35??????

"Hey, Tass is gone for a few days, so let's spam secret arrow scores because they won't be deleted right away! Right???"

I don't know how many times we've made it EXTREMELY clear that it's NEVER okay to use secret arrows (if you didn't know, now you do), but from looking at some of the names in those 34, it's obvious that almost all of you knew this and that almost all of you did it intentionally. Just because the song is short doesn't mean it's okay to cheat on it. Yeah, we don't care when you get them by accident, but that does NOT mean that it's okay if you do it on purpose. Even once. Also, Tass has to manually delete all these one by one (as far as I know), so you're just making more work for him when he DOES come back.

The standard punishment for abusing secret arrows is to have ALL your scores on every song deleted, and Tass has no problem doing this for repeat offenders. Just keep that in mind when you decide to mess around with them. K? K.

I really don't see how this warrents it's own thread. I mean yeah, 34 people presumably "abusing" the glitch is a lot for one song, but then again you have to keep in mind this is by far the easiest song to AAA out there. I'm sure there are hundreds of scores on other songs with secret arrows hit, they just didn't AAA it to land a high score, and it therefore goes unnoticed.. This one, however, is pretty much guaranteeing a high score if you hit a secret arrow, even if you don't AAA it.

Not surprising to me at all that this one would be abused more than others. And the same answer given to all other threads pertaining to this topic still fits. "They'll be deleted soon, they don't have to be reported".

i know how you feel, that happened to me too, except it was only a rank 7 for an AAA
who would actually WANT to cheat on an ffr song, it will just get deleted and really, if you cant play right, dont play at all

Cyanite: This is quite different from usual, or else I wouldn't make a thread about it (and I'm not just reporting it, I'd do that in an IM or PM to Tass if it was necessary). It's not that there are secret arrow scores on the song and I just want it known--you'd think I of all people would know that they'll be deleted ASAP--it's the fact that a number of people, some of whom are regulars/veterans, have decided that since Tass is gone for a few days, it's time to start abusing secret arrows on a song, simply because it's easier to do than ever before.

The point of this thread is to make the message clear to those people, and to anyone considering using secret arrows, that it is NOT ok and that you WILL be punished if we think you're doing it on purpose, which, when 34 people have over AAA scores on a song, is pretty god damn obvious. Most secret arrow scores are done either by accident or because they don't know it's considered cheating, but there are way too many familiar names up there for either to be the case this time--thus the need for this thread. Also, it's insanely, insanely rare for someone to intentionally use secret arrows to cheat but not even FC the song (as it's really quite a meaningless cheat if you can't FC it), so I really don't think there are even close to a hundred secret arrow scores still in existence that aren't rank 1--and even if there were, no one really cares about those.

This gives me an idea... how about FFR make it so that there is a maximum amount of points you can get for each song? Basically, it would just be the score that one gets for getting an AAA (other songs like Gradeus would be an exception with the two goods), but it would be the maximum number at the Grand Total. Anyone who gets a score above that number would automatically have that score not count. This would definitely save Tass some time... especially since this hacking/secret arrow stuff never seems to end.

hi guys. i'm in LA now. but I don't have my desktop yet (still in the trailer, for another 3-5 days most likely).

basically: i'm NOT going to be fixing this for another few days, minimum. but i'm NOT happy about this. i DO have to remove each one seperately... which is a major pain in my ass. and i may just be in a bad mood after the 1st 20 or 30 and decide to start wiping levelranks.

moral: above AAA scores are NOT ok. we get it when you accidentially load the wrong level, so your score from Max Forever accidentially gets recorded as Excite Bike... but when it is 3000 or less above the AAA, it is clearly a secret arrow score.

it's been brought up before about making a max on scores, and ignoring anything above... i'll bring it up again to Jason when i have some free time.

basically, i just drove 2800 miles in 4 days. i'm NOT happy.

Alright Shash, sorry. Misread your post. If it's regulars getting these secret arrows, then that changes the whole meaning of the post. I thought you were just complaining because of the large number of people to have that high of a score on one song, not the kind of people that are getting them.
