Ok so theres a couple of things that have been bugging me about the community of FFR.

First!
All the people with .01 or .26 or even 0 years.... it's really annoying to see. What happened to all the veterans of this game? ok so there's Synthlight and a few other people, maybe even me! I've been here about half as long as Synth. He's 4.44 and im 2.26, close enough right? But when ever i go to look at a friend's friend's profile or get lost in the giant network of people's profiles almost all the names i come across are under 1 year... What. The. Crap.

Second!
Next on my list is banning. What does it really mean to be banned? From what I've seen, people who get banned can still update their profile and play the game. Is it that you just cant post in the forum? Or can you? I don't know and it would be very nice if someone would explain the banning limits.

Good job being nativist and wanting zero members to join in the last year. Oh noez, FFR is growing? Whoda thunkit? That's bad! We gotta get these new people to run awaY forever! Some newer people have made great contributions to FFR and/or have mad skillz. Have some respect. kthx

It really doesn't matter how long you've played. I've only played for like... 0.21 and I'm catching on pretty fast. Not all of us (newcomers) are bad, we've just been here for a short period of time, that's all.

A bunch of people's profiles are new people, since profiles are relatively new, but it seems to me that most of the people that post in the forums have been here for pretty long.

It depends what you get banned from. It's hard to answer that question when you can be banned from the forums, MP, video chat, the whole site, a token ban, etc. You can't do whatever you've been banned from. Does that make sense?

yea thanks doug. I always thought you just got banned. But getting banned from certain parts makes a lot of sence.

also... in the past year or so, we've added about 500,000 new members. the year before was another 300,000 or so. so the site has been around for about 4.5 years, but 2/3 of the members have joined in the past 2 years.

give or take.

this shows that the site has really started to grow in the past year or two, vs when it was a young site. a lot has to do with word of mouth. also has to do with FFRspace, metrivia, and all the other new site features over the past year or two.

but, uh... funny. nobody who has posted in this thread joined before me. not even close. doug and cheese are a year after me.
