Hey, I just wanted to get an idea of how people place their fingers when they play FFR. I used the 4 arrow keys with 2 hands, and I'm just wondering if there's any better way at all?
I was also wondering what Shash's finger layout is. |

well I use 3 finger (index middle and ring) the index rest on the left key the ring finger on the right the middle on the top and I use the middle to hit the down key as well(I compromise on some songs in the Simfile DB when they use multiples of 3)

He means < (arrow key left) V (arrow key down) 8 (numberpad 8 = up) 6 (numberpad 6 = right) I think, but maybe Shash has some strange config.
I'm c v i l on my laptop and <V86 on desktop. |

< V 8 6 for desktops
< V > ^ for laptops I find it hard to play on most hotkey setups since I anchor my hand in certain places on the keyboard. |

Gives me an O2Jam-like feeling when playing, but that's just me. |

Index finger, Middle finger, and ring finger on most songs.
Two handed (Left hand: Left and down - Right hand: Right and Up) on hardest songs.

Alright, I'm going to test out < ^ 8 6, it seems a lot better... I was watching Shash on YouTube, I'm pretty sure that was his Finger Style. Dayum is he ever good.

left hand uses < and v and right hand uses ^ and >....though I alternate with them during songs to help me combo, so sometimes i'll use my right to hit down and my left to hit up...just depends ^_^

Left index on the bottom arrow, left middle on the left arrow, right index on the up arrow, right middle on the right arrow. I'm such a rebel.

Doesn't shash use <, V, 1, 2,?
Oh and, BTW, All the good players (meaning way better than Shash) use askl(www.autohotkey.com), but mainly play stepmania and not FFR. |

I'm trying to set the AutoHotKey to work as < ^ and 1 2 on the numpad for Right and Down, it doesn't seem to be working... Only the number keys at the top of the keyboard work when I initiate the script, anyone have any ideas?
