Gah.
Was trying to get into MP to try out new "Falling" feature. Apparrently, I can't connect to MP, no matter what. Now, I've already cleared my cache (even my Temporary Internet Files), so I would like an answer other than a "lol clear cache dumbass" remark. |

You are behind a router or firewall that is blocking you?

Mmm...
I doubt my firewall is blocking access, because I remember connecting to it before with the firewall up. Either that, or I was halluccinating. But I'll try it, and see what happens. EDIT: It's a possibility that Windows Firewall is blocking access. It looks like I can open a port, but should I do that? Also, Internet Explorer and FireFox are accepted through the firewall, so I don't see why it would be blocking FFR. Last edited by IAAW; 01-7-2007 at 02:30 PM.. |

I'm having the same problem.
Playing from a G4 Power Mac running OSX. It's only recently that I've encountered this problem, although I thought there was a chance I was banned from Multiplayer because some seem to believe that I hacked Super Mario 8-Bit Remix. (I explained it was an accidental glitch) I doubt it's a firewall for me either; I've never experienced any problems with FFR or connecting to MP other than the "Song Title being not matching to Song Played" problem... Although on SP I've been noticing that all the songs don't seem to glitch anymore, so I hope that stays fixed. =P Edit: Oh, and the same happens on the G5 iMac; also running on OSX. I haven't been able to connect for a good while either, and i'm not sure why, i've tried turning off my firewall, clearing cache, delete temp internet files, and whatnot, but still can't connect to teh lobby.

I've cleared my cache, turned off my Firewall, made sure cookies were accepted from FFR, tried multiple browsers/accounts, and yet I still can't access MP either. I don't get the "Can't Connect!" message either, it just stays as "Connecting..."

Mine is the same as dore's.
However, I went into my little brother's room and tried logging in, and it worked fine. Weird. |

Same problem for me. Running Windows XP and using Firefox. I've also tried it with IE, but still nothing.
