Oh hell no(ad related)
Alright, I'm fine with ads saying whatever they want, it doesn't offend me.
But when ads come with SOUND before you even CLICK ON THEM, well, come on now. I hate that crap. I know other people agree with me on this one because someone actually IMed me about it a little after I got annoyed by it. Specifically, I'm talking about the ad with smilies/emotes/whatever the hell they're called on it. They need to go. Make the ads bigger, etc. and whatever makes you more money, but get rid of the sounds. Also, we wouldn't have to do all of this sound advertisement stuff if we could donate. |

Re: Oh hell no(ad related)
Ya, I really can't stand that. Not only does it make a sound, but it's one of the most ridiculously annoying sounds ever, and it does it A LOT of the time I go to FFR's home page now.

Re: Oh hell no(ad related)
Sometimes I listen to music or play games while going to FFR.
I find this worse than the crap they put on AIM where it plays a song if you run it over the ad. The sound's that annoying if you hear it enough. |

Re: Oh hell no(ad related)
yeah you just pick the united states filter and pretty much everything disappears. And if something gets through you can block it manually.

Re: Oh hell no(ad related)
There actually is an ad that contains adware.. I believe that it is the cursor related advertisement. I read about it and upon download, it will keep advertising on your computer. Please... remove these things!

Re: Oh hell no(ad related)
I'm sure Synth doesn't like blocking the ads and his money being taken away, or rather, being forced to spend his own money, but I'm sure the problem is obvious.
That crap needs to stop or I'm blocking the ads with that Ad Block thing :/ I'll gladly unblock them as long as I don't have to hear something annoying just for moving my mouse over something. |

Re: Oh hell no(ad related)
Sir, I say sir, that browser is clearly a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Btw: It's not ads in general, if I remember reading it (a long while ago) right. Just point out the ads that are obviously annoying to the point where you can't even take coming here anymore. I can vouch for that annoying 'WHOOOOOOOM ZOOOOP (whatever sound)' smilies ad. Wasn't there already a thread or 1,593 on this very subject? |
