For once I'm not trying to offend anyone, and I just want an answer. I mean, why do they wear it? It just furthers the stereotype. It doesn't look good either.

So do I and most of my friends but were all skaters so it's in with the style to wear it big and open and what not. But don't forget when your like a protegy or somethin and you have parents who are brains or not they want to dress you still and shit. Not all geeks wear plaid. I'm a geek, I don't wear plaid... I usually wear my Invader ZIM, Happy Tree Friends, or some other Anime show shirts and black pants.

to get back on topic..

People shouldn't be labled on what they wear.. all that stuff about your clothes being a representation about your personal self is crap.. the only thing that represents you is the way you act.. i listen to rap, have long hair, dress in khakis (different pair everyday) watch wrestling, like techno, play ddr, and many do/like many other things that don't define what i look like.. people all me grunge, and ask if i like punk rock because of my long hair.... ask if I like American eagle and Abercrombie and fitch because of the khakis and sweater/shirts... all this is crap.. except the music.. i like punk rock.. just i dont have long hair of punk rock.. i have long hair because i like long hair.. To like rap I shouldn't have to wear Rocawear have a charm and put "spinners" on my car.. just like for to like punk i shouldn't have to have long hair, have holey clothes or have bad hygien... To know about me you shouldn't base your decisions on what i look like but how my brain works.. im tired of typing now.

I'm a band nerd, which is very different than a geek, and I hate plaid. Band nerds care for polyester uniforms with capes.

Yeah, same here. i wear random crap, i like stupid stuff too. thats the style at my school. like, i was walking at target and i saw a t-shirt for the movie, "a christmas story" and i was all, OGM I WANT TAT T SHURT OMG OLOLO XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

but yeah, thats pretty much it.

I sort of have my own fashion style.. I just wear whatever I like and think is stylish. I don't wear/like khakis or blue jeans or plaid... I sort of have this unique taste... I want more shirts like the red silk shirt I have with the oriental writing on it, that shirt is badass :O The oriental writing is just a plus, I didn't get it just because it has the oriental writing, but because it's red and black and silk :O~

I like silk ;x it's sexy. I also wear a black artist/french/picazzo beanie hat thing... you know what I mean. I look cute in it. And if I can confidently say I look cute then you can bet the girls do too ;x
