that's kinda pathetic that your mother, someone who is likely 40+ years old, is getting $20/hr part time....

whereas I'm 22 and just out of school and am getting only slightly less at full time.



but, regardless, it is good to have employeed parents. unemployeed parents aren't good at paying college tuition.

Just thinking about college makes my mom happy.

Probably because she wants to see me suffer like she did.

So, WTF. Why is she making so little? My O-Chem tutor isn't a teacher yet and he gets $40 an hour. (He's a grad student.)

And I have NO credentials whatsoever and I get $11-13/hr. I assume your mom has some kind of schooling and probably a Bachelor's or at least a teaching certificate, why is she not making more than the kids at McD's?

My mother is unemployed intentionally. She's a stay-at-home mother, and takes full focus on keeping the house and members straight. My father is an officer in the military, and currently (which is probably real sad to most of you) I'm being paid for in full for college by my father. I do have a job though, if that's what you're thinking about pointing out next.

My mom makes about $8/hour at Kohl's. Sadly she just recently went to a Gibb's school for something in digital communications :/ Every job offer she goes to turns her down. IMO her work is great and she should really have a better job by now, but places like those are retarded and use things like college level instead of skill. Oh well, that's life.

My dad easily makes double that. Triple on Sundays. And he just pushes a button on a machine and it cuts some metal up. I'm sure it's a little more complicated but that's all I've seen him do.

But, a job's a job. I'm getting one in January. I'll be making 5.15 an hour until June 1st. Then that minimum wage increase goes into effect. I was thinking about busboying after school at a local restraunt for a few hours. On weekends I will work until like 11. They get really good tips down there too. And I get free food 8D

There's a bunch of people who live in my area who play FFR. Some I know, and some I don't, and I'm the only person who uses FFR forums too. Hah.
