Maplestory Source

Turns out that that Counter Strike: Source is home to a "MapleMod". The guys over at MapleTip.com forums have their own CS:S server and have put on a Maplestory leveling system. EXP/Stats/Char Class and job. adv'ing. I was thinking some of us who enjoy CS would like to meet up sometime and play in the Maplemod they have on that server sometime.

It's pretty neat and it EXACTLY reflects Maplestory, how you ask?

I've been playing. It's a lot of fun but a word of warning: if you choose magician, you become an I/L Mage. =(

Like I have 2 SP in Ice Beam and if you shoot someone, it freezes them.

What does lightning do, then? Hits everybody around the person you shoot? =O

Oh right I forgot this was a "Hey, do you like CS: Source???" thread. It's also apparent it's not just thread crapping and has everything to do with the topic.

So I played this and it's pretty cool. It says there are 4 skills for each class but you only get 3 at first. Anybody know when "2nd job" is in the game? o_O

PS: The fact that you can switch jobs and reset your skills any time you want makes the slow leveling way more bearable. =)

In other words, this is kinda like Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, except with a different kind of skill than setting bombs or taking enemies' outfits.

I'll still get this if I get Counter Strike.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O
