I was a advanced player that stopped playing FFR about 9 months ago, and I just started playing again. When I chose a song and played, it's like my fingers were broken! Can someone help me regain my edge?

your join date was about 9 months ago so ill take a wild guess that you never really got that great and lost the skill that you did gain.
If not you made an account just before you stopped playing and now you just need to play for a while and let your skill come back on its own. so either way, you'll eventually get good again, youll just need some time to do so. |

I took a long break, too, because my old computer kind of lost the ability to play FFR properly. It was lagging way too much and I couldn't do anything to fix it. I started playing again about two months ago when I got a new computer. The same thing happened to me. I couldn't match the scores on some songs that I used to do great on (great for me, anyway). The more I played, the easier it became. I picked it all up again, and now I'm starting to improve on my old scores as I play more. It should come back to you, too, just keep practicing.

I still don't understand. I've been playing for awhile now and i can get all perfects on some easier songs like secret zombie room and im getting pretty good at ressurection in progress but when i play those songs like crowd pleaser I can do parts of it but then i just get confused and all the arrows look like one big confusing mess that i could never be able to follow with my brain.... ever! People say practice and i play just about every day and the easier songs are getting easier and easier but those songs are just one big mess!

You should play stepmania until you get good enough to read that stuff.

but i'm a patient person. . .hehe it's only been about 4 months for me. i'm giving myself a year to start doing some of those songs. but yeah, it's just a complete blur for me on those songs. but i can play songs today, that use to be out of my reach. . .so i'm thinking it's just a matter of time, patience, and practice before i can reach for the tougher songs. thnx.

I quit December 2005 after playing since August 2005. At that time crowdpleaser and Max Forever were not out. So stop trying to bull****. You never were good, you are just trying to justify why you have always sucked. |

lol, i agree with the BS'ing i just came back and i have bean a memember for almost three years, i have ben playing for about 3 weeks and my level rank is at 1000 now, i didnt lose THAT much skill over a 1 year quit time, its kinda like riding a bike.
and as far as the confusion on massive amounts of arrows goes... it REALY is just a learned skill, its something that doesnt come easy and you have to keep working at it, most of the time when im playing songs like delirium, gradeus, and max forever, im thinking about other stuff, like what im doing tommarow, or my work day or something else, you just need to relax and keep trying. If you realy want to learn harder levels, select a level thats to hard for you, but you can hit some of the arrows, and just keep trying it over and over and over, thats what i did. GL and Dont break your fingers

I said songs LIKE Crowdpleaser, extremely quick taps with some doubles in the mess of arrows. And I have been asking how to get better, not "OMFG your just a bulls***er LIE! LIE" What songs can a play to really make me better, because some songs are too easy, and some songs are to hard. I find Thinking Different is good because it has quick single arrows with doubles thrown in sometime. But if its overwhelming or too much, like Cutting Circles, I don't seem to learn anything because I die in two seconds.
