Default FPS?

How do you raise the FPS?
Because when I turned on my computor on today, I clicked SM, started playing. It lagged really bad because it was running at 45 FPS.

Should be in graphics options.

You shouldn't be lagging at 45 FPS. Jesus, I'm lucky to get 30 fps and that's pretty smooth.

I just fixed it by lowering the brightness of all the backgrounds.
Now it is running at the FPS rate I am used to, around 250 FPS.
Thats why I say 45 is laggy, I am not used to it.

vSync only applies if you're using a CRT monitor, so if you have a plasma screen it wouldn't matter.

P.S: Benji your AV scares me.

Try reducing the resolution etc.

For example: If you're using 1024x768, try reducing it to 640x480.
