Default Favorite Dance-Pad for home play?

There are quite a few home-players here. What Dance-Pad do you like best for playing at home?

I had soft pads. They blew. Now I have a pair of metal pads that work pretty well. The back arrow on one is stuck though.

Plastic Hard ones? Wouldn't they like crack after a while? Unless the plastic's like real good quality. They're probably pretty expensive, if you're gonna spend that much money, you might as well spend a couple extra bucks for a metal one =\

You play the plastic pad without your shoes. Otherwise it will crack. I've been through most pads...The soft pads really suck, but are the cheapest. At the same time, they slip a LOT and they aren't very accurate. A plastic pad is somewhere between $50-100 and is a pretty good deal, its reliable and worlds better than the soft pads. Ignition pads are about the same price or a little pricier and are also a good buy if you're serious enough about DDR. At the top of the line are Cobalt Flux (about $300 for a single pad, 600 for a double). I've never played one before, but these are custom-made and have everything you could need. Also is the Arcade Pad, which I've only seen on Ebay for $500 and up. Decide how serious you are and how much you wanna spend, and go for it.
