It'd be nice

It'd be kind of cool if FFR had a list of all the FFR players and their overall rank and scores on the main menu on the home page. That way people could see how much higher or lower the scores of people around their rank were. Just a thought. I think It'd be helpful.

*EDIT-Maybe just the top 10 or 5 thousand, just so the list wouldn't be googles of pages long...

Someone made a thread of such, but it really hasn't updated really. Anyways, I would probaby suggest having this, but really, it's not really a necessary addition to worry about.

But pretty much pointless. I've been playing this game for 2.61 years. MANY others have been playing for longer than that. And their total scores are just monstrous huge. So what are you really going to do about it..

just play the multiplyer and work your way up those ranks.

ive been play for .07 years and im still better than 99% of FFR members. wtf man? i just kinda wanna know what im going for. Doesnt matter too much to me but I would like it, It doesnt seem like it would be to hard to make either.

You want to know the total score of the 100 people above and below you? Or on individual songs?

Within the past week or two, a list of the top25 was added for each song. As opposed to viewing the top10 on the finish screen that you've been able to do for 2+ years.

Well..... I'm sure it is something that could possibly happen in the future. There have been some nice little features added recently that are along similar lines, such as the top25 for songs, the most played songs each day...

At a minimum, it would be nice to get a top100 overall list. And maybe like the Multiplayer stat page, there could be a top100 overall and a personal. The personal would show the 50 above and below you...

The only problem with showing the people above and below is that it really doesn't serve a purpose. Almost certainly you won't know the people, and they may or may not be at a similar skill level. The more important part is what is the SCORE of the person 50 slots above you and 50 slots below you. That is really all that matters. That way you can judge how close people are to catching you and how close you are to jumping way up in rank.

I'd love to see a top100 list though... so Doug doesn't have to keep doing it manually with siggies. His thread on it is in the General Talk forum if you are curious to see who the majority of the top100 are and their points.

i don't think it's really fair to be ranked by your total score. Simply because the only way to keep it up there is to play actively. And hoard as many points as you can... it's not really determined by your skill. however the better your score is the faster you move up the ranks..

I don't know.. it just seems slightly inbalanced.. Maybe if there was a way to determine.. once you hit a certain skill level, you have to maintain a certain percantage or you start to fall.

Grand total score has always been the way to determine it. Percentage grades are not given, so no skill can be determined from a song's completion.

But now that the levelrank.php is in place with the Average rank at the bottom, it is only a matter of time (days?) until we get a top100 list based off of skill, not just on how much someone plays.
