Games you wish were made into Movies/Series

What games would you like to see made into movies or series? There are loads of games I want to be made into movies, but I don't want them to become live action-ones. I'd personally prefer 2d animation of stuff like Lost Vikings, Chrono Trigger (yes I know it has been done, but it's not enough lol) and Metroid.

Movies or animes based on games are ALWAYS terrible.

Ex: Any video game movie, Xenosaga: The Animation, the Viewtiful Joe anime, and even the Disgaea anime.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing a 52 episode anime adaptation of Xenogears.

Tales of Eternia's anime wasn't that good, but I like the Phantasia OAVs...

It could probably make a pretty good series. It wouldn't just be about rolling up stuff, it could be on the relationship between the Prince and The King. Or about the Prince's adventures or something.

Moogy's pretty much right here, guys. Video games don't translate well into movies. Any form of entertainment loses a lot when it's made into a movie (books, comics, games, TV shows, real life), but games especially. We like games because they're interactive and give us something to DO. You don't do anything in a movie, really. =\

Also, a Katamari movie could be like Godzilla or something, but you'd be rooting for the thing that's destroying the whole city. Just think of all the YTMNDs they've made about Katamari and piece them all together in a movie. Hell, this gives me an idea. YTMND: The Movie. =O!

It really doesn't matter. No matter what, the director of the movie will suck and butcher it. It's just the way video games get further down a path of negative connotations. People might see the movies and go "Well, looks like it was a good idea not to play the game after all." Whereas some people might see a movie about a book and go "Wow, the movie was great, I think I'll read the book!"

The latter has happened to me MANY times. So has the former except in the one instance that I decided I might want to play Final Fantasy 7 after seeing Advent Children.

I never did.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O
