Question own ffr songs

Is there a program or something on the site that lets you make your own songs? I was hoping to make some songs that I could practise he things I'm bad at so I'll get better. Anyway if there is a program can you please tell me what it is and how to use it.

1) Go to C:/Program Files/StepMania/Songs/. Make a new folder called Songs, All Music, etc., whatever you want it to be named.
2) Download a simfile from FFR's Simfile DB or BemaniStyle's Simfile DB.
3) Select the extraction path to C:/Program Files/StepMania/Songs/#nameoffolder#/. Replace #nameoffolder# with the folder you made at step 1.
4) Done.

Is there a way to get my own songs in it and not the simfiles?

You would then have to make your own simfile.

Copy some .SM file, delete all stuff that pertains to that song, and put in your own stuff.

That's how I do it, anyway.

Start, Programs, StepMania, StepMania Tools and Package Exporter

click Create Song

Pick your song.

Now close that, go into the game, go to Edit/Sync Songs

Select the song you just made (it's under "My Creations")

Choose a style and difficulty

Go to Create from Blank, then press enter again after it changes to Edit Existing.

Then read the help on the left and mess around until you get the hang of the editor
