seriously, far too many bgs in stepmania are like pick color pick abstract renders **** around ok done. they don't fit the songs at all.

Fitting the song's mood/feel and fitting the song's title are different things.

I really do understand what you mean though, and for sims where it really matters I actually do different stuff (see stuff like TGWP for examples)

I just don't really care that much for Flashbulb/Sharpnel/whatever sims, it feels like they don't need omfg revolutionary backgrounds.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't randomly brush it up, add a render and then add text.

EDIT: Izzy, go choke. You have no idea what the hell you're talking about.
I wanted to add that making a BG like the one you posted would take me hours unless I cheated my ass off.

lol I stepped this song B4, It came out kinna boring so I didnt release it and made a 12 foot pad version for myself.Hope your turns out well, good luck.

i dont give a **** its still awesome

btw play heavy, im positive you wont think its as repetitive. oni+edit kind of drown out my carefully chosen patterns with jumps, you cant see it like you can in heavy.

I like the heavy the most, it goes with the song really well. The edit is a nice jump fest, which is fun too. Meh on the oni.
