Had an injury in DDR?

I had an Injury while playing the Arcade... I went to the shops to walk around no sitting down and went to the arcade played 7 songs and my hamstring stretched and I didn't play on the dancemat for a while at home... I'm all better now... anyone injured themselves

My legs locked up after a nonstop marathon of about three hours. I couldn't bend my knees, so my legs locked straight, I gave up and literally fell off the pad, dragged myself to a chair and sat down. It was about 10 minutes before I could bend my knees again, but then I was fine. I was facing off against this Asian guy at the time, too... and winning.

sorta. me n my cuzin were playin...he lost his balance, fell and backhanded me in the face on his way down. a fight 2 the death ensued

i haven't had an injury playing DDR, but i've had an injury from karate practice that has affected my DDR performance

Me and my brother played for around 8 hours straight. Our legs were stiff solid, and my brother almost threw up. My stomach was cramped so bad I couldnt eat. It hurt. 8 hours straight!!

Got a great great story for you guys. Okay so i'm at the mall playing with some friends, and I was going solo cause they were taking a break. So this fat kid and a few of his high school friends walk in. Now everybody knows these kind of people, because they make fun of ddr, mostly because they can't do it. So this fatty jumps on the other side while i'm playing and starts acting stupid. His stupid friends are laughing at him trying to mock me. Unfortunately for him, the last guy that was playing had some dirt on his shoes. So as the fatty is being stupid, his foot slips on the dirt, and he loses his balance. Being very uncoordinated due to weight, his feet go up, and his face goes down. He hit the top of his nose right on one of the metal wires around the steps. Busted his face open and he just started bleeding everywhere. I just stop playing and just point and laugh in his face. Nobody helped him, not even his "friends". Everybody just pointed and laughed at him, he left crying and I left happy. Fatty deserved it

Some cute stuff in here. =) I've had a few bad ones, personally. Split my hand open on a bolt once handplanting. Twice, I think, actually. Almost dislocated my knee from dropping it wrong. Had my hand stepped on once while someone tried to help me while I was handplanting on Doubles...Lots of little stuff. Never got pwn'd though.

Other than that White Castle incident.....

Mine was weird i was playing DDR in Main Event my legs went numb so did my feet. i fell pretty bad ....i sprained my right leg's ankle since i was playing maxx unlimited heavy and was doing jumps and when i landed boom...that hurt real bad.

I Cramped My Leg the first and possibly last time i'll EVER go on a DDR machine. so me my bro and my dad were at an arcade and this one guy was going COMPLETLY INSANE. he was doing heavy difficulty and 190 bpm 0.o. so then he says to me: hey, you look like your pretty good at this, you wanna try? and i said:...sure. so i hopped on the machine and literally cramped my leg doing the whole song. so that's my only experince about DDR. then he told me about FFR and i've been hooked for the past 8 days

This thread reminds me of one time...

I was 12, and I was playing at the arcade, I thought I'd try something that was waaaaaay out of my league (at the time, of course). Standard. Boy oh boy I never forget that day. I was holding onto the bar, TRYING to do a half-decent job, when I let go of the bar, I have no idea what I was thinking. I came to a part when it was an up-down jump, and because I was going so fast, I tripped over my own feet, fractured my right ankle, and bashed my forehead on the screen. I couldnt walk for days. xD

I haven't really had an injury in DDR before, i just wasn't really that bad, but i wasn't crazy enough to do heavy right when i started, and now i am doing heavy, lol
