Today I played SM at school, and I realized that I'm better than I think I am. At home I have a black IBM keyboard from 1997. It can't hit up+right+left at the same time among other combinations. I think this one of the reasons why I suck at my house. It also could be that my stupid integrated audio chip isn't syncing right. Anyway, I got to school today and I played Gravatronic Oni and got like a high A. Then I come home today and do a fresh install of the latest SM to see what would happen and here's the results:
![]() I know it sucks, but I noticed that during a stream I would randomly get like 5 greats, or it would give me a good right after a hold. It could be my keyboard but I don't know. The thing is that new keyboards suck with these crap soft keys. What keyboards do you guys have?

I have that too. I can only play at school.
Gaussian Blur at home: 80 mil. Gaussian Blur at school: 96 mil, almost FC. Please blah blah X-rated at home: 77 mil '' at school: 96.5 mil It's probably the keyboard, that's what it is for me. Mac keyboards are really nice.

Like, you know the slow part in Playdoh with the jumps and the 16ths? I get like marvelous...great...great...great..great at my house whereas at my school they're all >perfects. I've looked at the logitech elite, is it really that good? (I thought the keys were going to feel 'soft')

Logitech and laptop keyboards are the only thing I'll ever play SM on. Pretty much everything else sucks (there are a few exceptions but you get my point).

So I found the elite for $29.89 after shipping, is this a good deal?
Oh and IMO, you havn't really used a keyboard until you've used an Avant. All you hardcore poeple would see a definite improvement in dance points. It's basically an exact remake of the legendary Northgate Omnikey http://www.cvtinc.com/products/keyboards/stellar.htm

O.K. here's a little more accurate representation .
During the stream you'll notice I'm doing a little better, most likely because I was not paying attention to the music and actually getting a little ahead. During the rest I'm fairly sure I hit it exactly on the music. This was defintely not a purposeful great attack and I can AA this on a bad day at my school. So is it my offset? How do I set a global offset? [edit: I just switched the links 'Video' is the faster one now] [edit: BTW it's in XviD]

My school uses deepfreeze, this crappy program that installs windows fresh every time you log in. I have to install SM every time I want to play, and no one else at my school plays SM let alone knows how to change judge. I'm begining to think that the problem is that my processor is too fast, and if judge is based on a time loop then playing on a slow computer would actually be easier. Yet again, can somone please tell me how to set a global offset? Seriously though, did you watch the video? I was not great attacking on purpose. I'll make another video at my school where I show judge and .ini, ok? Edit, I just changed my offest until the steps totally didn't match the music and my score improved slightly: [/img]
