Multiplayer Lobby

I am what you call a "regular" in the multiplayer lobby.

This would be where my suggestion is.

Would it be possible for FFR Staff to possibly get someone to moderate the lobby? You constantly have people cursing (and they have ways of getting around censors) and spamming is a horrible issue. It's freezing up internet servers and computers alike. This is a severe lack of respect for other lobbyists who have come to enjoy the game and cannot find a partner due to immature people spamming the room only to lock them up.

(Heck, put me on it. I would do it for free.)

i agree with him. i have came here to say the exact same words. put something as if you were to send so many messages in a certain amount of time you temporarily get banned.

They shouldn't just ban the name either... they should ban the entire IP address!

I personaly think that they REALLLYYYYYYYYYYY need to get the alternate plying feidls working on multiplayer so that people like me who play on downfeild can have a chance at playing. Cause im horrible at up feild.

well you've got a point but that would take time since they would have to see who would apply for moderator positions

They had that, but it kept banning people who simply typed very fast.

In short, there is no way to automatically moderate the MP lobby. They are working on implementing manual moderators though, and I expect to see lobby mods when 3rd Style comes out.

Its VERY easy to tell who is spamming and who isn't.

I can understand people who type fast. But people who simply put the same letter over and over and over purposely??

Its those who need to be banned.

And as I said, I would be a lobby mod... Are they accepting applications or something for it?

I kind of like the spam. If you want to chat, go to ffrchat. An irc chat also exists for ffrradio, although nobodys ever there. The spam is nice. It reminds me of older games that had no protection.

The spam is against TOS though. I take it your own of the people whose internet/computer isn't affected by it?

hahah i've never heard reverse and standard scroll called up field and downfield, that's awesome.

Maybe cause im not a nerd, and its just using common sense. Because it is an upfeild and a downward feild.

It might be just a lobby, but when someone is issuing a challenge, its hard to see it because you're either lagging or someone being childish and spamming... which is where the lag comes from.

But according to someone a few posts up, they've already chosen mods.

Maybe something like AIM would work, where you get a meter that goes up 10% every message and goes down at 1% per second...
