Can't jump two buttons at the same time.

I have a weird problem with my dancemat. I got it a couple of weeks back.

It all works great except for one thing...
If I have to step on two buttons at the same time, for example LEFT and RIGHT, it won't register it.
It seems to have problems registering two buttons pressed at the same time.

The dancemat is a Joytech Dancing Mate for PlayStation, PSOne and PS2.
The USB-adaptor I'm using is from GAME (GameWare), it's their own brand.

Could anyone help me out?

Somewhere on the sm site it says that only a certain brand of usb adapter will work for that. Otherwise it doesn't register. That might be the problem.
