Two Finger Tips
Anyone have any tips for learning to play with two fingers? Found out about four finger limits after a couple days of using it -- all the same-hand movements are too tricky! Wondering about... when to alternate hands.. which fingers to use.. what some good simfiles are to play with too. Saw someone nearly full combo that cia rave with two fingers earlier today!

RE: Two Finger Tips
you have to keep practicing
I thought I'd also throw in that 2 fingers has its limits too. Mainly jumps. They're hard to do on index. Songs like turbulence, end night, stuff with jumps in it like that will be tough on index fingers. with either style, enough practicing can get you over the limits of the style.

RE: Two Finger Tips
Do you seriously think there's some super secret that can make you better? Seriously just practice, you learn by getting experience doing what you want to get better at. And there aren't any songs that can help you anymore than others because if you practice 1 song all the time you only get good at the aspects that are presented in that song. (I.E. If you played Halogen a lot you would get better at jumps but you wouldn't be able to do 16th runs.)
I'm sick of these "how do I get better?" threads. |

Two finger is slower in the long run than four finger?

Stick to 4 if you're already pretty good at it sweetie, there's more advantages to it than setbacks.

So after couple of day of 4 fingers you give up? and saying that you see it's limits? you Need at least a month if not more to get even adjusted to that, like it or not skills don't just appear overnight.

They have so far! Was doing breaking the common with 1hand after less than a week. Then advanced and can already do stuff like after me in arcade with four fingers. Playing 24/7 to keep up with friends )

you basically just said (or what I saw) you were doing breaking the common with one hand after a week of playing then you did advanced you can already do stuff like after me with 4 fingers wtf does this mean? Sentence breaks please? Are you saying you were better one handed. Or that you can do advanced songs one handed. Or that you could do advanced songs two handed? Playing 24/7 one or two? I'm confused. Your post made no sense.

Practice even when you're not playing, like I said. It's the same thing with my right hand, I have trouble doing the >>^>^> weird patterned trills in uber v2 and playdoh

Heres an update on how the indexing is going.
I can fc several of the easy to standard level ffr songs. Also fc on some of the stepmania songs that aren't well-known. Might post a video of that to show how learning this is going. The biggest problem is <^>^<^>^< or the same with down. Should right hand or left hand EVER cross over to the left or right arrows, respectively? Snowflakes was giving me problems a second ago because much of the song involves that pattern. Thanks.
