Combo Insanity

I wanted to find the topic where I broke a 1000 combo on Song for the Nihonjins for the first time, but couldn't. Anyway, I remember Tonberry Kid telling me in that thread that I should be able to FC pretty easily. Well, I can't honestly say it came easy (thank GOD the combo window is so huge on R1), but I did pull it off after practicing Night of Flight, a comparable level in terms of number of notes, duration of the song, and difficulty of patterns.

Okay, so Night of Flight definitely takes the cake in that last criterion with its brutal (for me) 42424646 16th stream and Yellow Arrow Syndrome. Still, it was a great setup after I realized that I was hitting faster patterns one note at a time and not lumping them together into groups on songs like CIA Rave and Delirium.

Fine, fine, enough chatter for me. Presenting...

Yeah, yeah, I know the PA is a piece of crap, but it's the COMBO we're talking about here, people! Just do me a favor and don't expect me to pull this off again anytime soon. <_<

LOL, Ridder. I have scored 1318 perfects on that one in the past, but judging from the PA I had during that run, I won't be AAAing anything that tough for a long time yet.

To continue on the theme of the topic, I can finally combo the streams in Delirium, but the 8th jumps continue to own me more often than not, like they did here. That didn't stop me from nailing the rest, though I did have to mash a bit to keep my combo going past 270.

I'm currently working on other 16th stream stuff like CIA Rave and Rondo Alla Turca (both versions). But the songs on the second page of Secret are most definitely out.
