Not to say that he won out of pure popularity, he had good ideas and plans, just saying that it played a small part... Oh, and with a margin of... what was it, 500,000, 5,000,000 votes? I think that he would have easily won even if he wasn't famous.

that's muthafuckinfucked man. You can't just dislike people just because they say ONE thing that you don't like. only shallow, closed minded people think like that. If that were the case, not very many people would be friends in this world.
