My vote goes to Soul Calibur 2;It was just so much better than Soul Calibur 3.

SC2 might have been ranked higher, but given the choice I would still get SC3 over SC2.

Of course, this explains why Chrono Trigger and Super Mario World sucked ass; there were no voices in the whole damn game, just lots of meaningless gameplay.

SC3 had a more balanced fighting system than SC2. I remember Nighmare and Talim to be way too powerful in SC2 but they were toned down a bit in SC3 making the game a billion times more fun.

Umm false you are young padawan. SC2 actually took nito account of real life physics. Astaroth was frickin huge. Therefore he actually moved slowly across the level. However in SC3, he's just as fast as Talim. WTH? SC3 might look better but overall it doesn't feel better.

You're so blatantly wrong. I used Mitsurugi, and he had a weapon with some insane defense, and pretty good attack, the Damascus Sword. I could kill someone with a 100% def/atk set in a single air combo that wasn't very hard to pull off.

sc2 is way better, imean nightmare looks cooler in sc2 not in sc3 and i hate that whole map chronicle thing its so stupied anything that has a board like game such as sc3 and dbzbudiki2 then they are horriable.

What the hell? You understood what he said? You guys have only argued about extremely minor details. What board thing? Who the cares how Nightmare looks? What the hell is "dbzbudiki2"? Make some damn sense, and give some valid points, and you could have a good argument.

I said that SC3 had a more BALANCED fighting system. I acutally meant the moves and the commands to pull them off. Compare the moves of talim in SC2 and SC3. They removed the cheap ass combo BBK AAB, which took out half of the person's life, and if the K hits, it is an automatic juggle. They took this move out in SC3 because it made the game unbalanced. I didn't mean that SC3 had better physics, because it doesn't. You can air shift forever and never get a ring out if you wanted to. I agree that Astaroth is way to fast, making him one of the cheapest characters in SC3. And for everyone arguing about the Chronicles, who friggin cares? Chronicles isn't really important and it is not like you are forced to do it...

The commands to pull of move in SC3 are ridiculous. It was frickin simple as hell tp pull of Ivy's Calamity Symphony in SC2, which is the most powerful move in SC2. Tell why its became 100x harder to pull it off in SC3? Namco knew that some of SC2 was a little unbalanced (e.g. Raphael's BBB combo) but they also had to tone down already balanced characters so much that it is no longer easy to play with them. SC3> SC2 in Visuals and overall presentation, but in terms of control and fighting system SC2 will always be better than SC3. I still like playing SC3 though. ROFL.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you again. In SC3, you must have more PRECISE joystick movements to pull off the tougher moves. This means that there is actually a challenge in being cheap and dealing huge amounts of damage. If what you are saying is true, are you saying that Easier games > Harder games? I think that with the harder fighting system, it adds a challenge, and it really makes it more fun when you can actually beat the computer on Very Hard. Remember facing Raphael on Very Hard in SC2? He was ridiculous because of the BBB move and his little dodges. However, they have removed that in SC3, making the game much more fun because now you can pwn Raphael's sorry little ass. Also, I like harder games because I find them more fun because you actually have to work to get stuff accomplished. Maybe this is making me a little biased... Still, IMHO, SC3>SC2.

First off, to the comment that nightmare looked cooler... He looks nearly identical to me in his basic costume, and his alternate costume looks FRIGGIN BADASS, especially my custom colors for it (blood red armor and hair, black skin). Also, SIEGFRIED IS IN THE GAME. Who has always been my favorite character in the entire Soul Blade series. He also looks damn cool in that new suit of armor.

Plus, CUSTOM CHARACTERS. End of that discussion right there.

And, I have to say, i think the fighting is a lot more balanced and takes more skill. They made a system where everyone has an equal edge if they know how to guard impact and throw in delayed moves to good use. That's my two cents, anyway.

SC3 was waaaaaay bettr than SC2... There is o contest. The fighting system is better, characters are cooler looking, graphics way better, more modes to play, create a character, I mean come on! Theres thousands of ways to create your own fighter!! Also, there are weapons with fun moves to use! (staff that turns as large as a pillar =P) I say 3 is definitly bettr
