Default Crash-Box 360?

I guess you could call me a Playstation fanboy but I could not wait another 8 mothes for the PS3 to ship, so I was one of those super-nerds waiting in line for a 360. Well, I got the last premium system in EB so I felt pretty good I went home and started up some games they looked nice not quite half-life 2 but good nonetheless. One day later I was just sitting around playing, then, boom, my 360 crashed! I could not get it to load a level. Now I have to wait 11 days for it to be fixed. Funny thing is I'm not the only person this has happened to. I have met, in person, 3 other people who have had problems with their 360, I know the first systems are supposed to be buggy (my first PS2 broke after a year) but not to this extreme!

A lot of the problems have to do with the power supply, make sure it's in a well ventilated area.

There is a very small percentage of 360's that are having problems, and sadly yours is one of them.

Good luck on correcting the problem

Hey, I still own my original NES (works fine), SNES (one of the chords is a little loose, but duck tape fixed that), N64 (works fine), and gamecube (had a laser disc problem a year after my warranty expired, because i accidentally left the system on for 5 days straight...Nintendo fixed it for free all within 5 days...eventhough the warranty was void.

Anyways, on topic. I've heard of quite a few problems as well. I just don't get how there can be so many. Guess they really are following Sony's gameplan.

Wow, we've gotten so advanced in technology we can actually make amazing systems like this, yet have them crash in a day. XD.

If anything, I'll be getting a revolution. From what I've read on this forum it seems like the best. It won't be soon though.

Nintendo and Sony seem like the best choices now. I just have to figure out how to order them when they come out in Japan this March. I'll have to spend so much money though and the games will probably be reigon encoded

Don't count on the Revolution coming out in March. Seeing as the next expected flood of INFORMATION is at E3, which is in May. I'd expect a Holiday '06 launch for the Revolution.

You really shouldn't listen to what people on the internet say. Although the very message in this post is rather ironic.

What people on this forum are saying is that the Revolution DESERVES to be the best. Whether it will be or not still remains unknown.

And when you say small percent... the biggest percent I've heard was 16%, which is very horrible but nonetheless, people will pay 400 for it. It'll probably get better though.

Those are from all the forums where people with problems flock too. In an official statement, it was less than 3%, which according to IGN is less than other launches problems.

If a rollercoaster crashed and burned 3 out of every 100 rides, I wouldn't go on it.

The thing is though, it's not a roller coaster and if yours is messed up it will be fixed (I think).

$400 is enough for it to be considered life -_- And I was using a larger example just to emphasise a point Oh well.

Hahahaha 400 dollars is only considered life if you don't have a job. Or your job sucks.

I hate people who sue for stupid reasons. I think all three systems will be great, but people always get problems when a system first comes out. Like the DS and PSP seemed to always get dead pixels. Not mine, though...

Ya, like LD said, you overheated it. Probably had it in a cupboard or one of them fangled entertainment systems where it fits in a nice little hole. I played a 360. Call of Duty 2 to be exact. Most realistic game I've ever played. I like it. I won't buy one.

I read somewhere that Revolutions is going to be a purely interactive gaming system. Like those baseball games for your tv and such. Which IMO sounds kinda stupid, but I will end up buying it probably because I'm a Nintendo fanboy.
