You should get an eMachines because that's what you need. Considering Q had a virus and you reccomended Spybot, I HIGHLY doubt you need an Alienware.

I have an e-machine. I also hear they get a lot of crap; I don't use mine for next-gen gaming, but it plays past-gen games pretty well... But soon the past gen games will be too much for this computer to handle. Oh, woe is me. In either case, if you need a computer for work, word processing, playing some old school games, e-machines would be the way to go, consdering how cheap they are.
Otherwise, it's up to you. I'm not that studied in the area of computers. Mal

Monarch owns if you know enough about computers to get one from them. I'll be continuing to support them in 2007 when I get my new rig. To work with Monarch, you need to know A LOT though. Just visiting their site and starting to customize will let you know. Honestly, you have to select a wattage on your power supply. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll get something that won't even run (if they let you finish the deal as such. Doubt they would. But they'd be laughing at you.)
If you don't know what you're doing, try a mainstream one like Dell or something. Despite what a bunch of people say, Dell machines are powerful buggers for a nice price. ~Squeek |

You have to pick wattage on the power supply? How frightening! :P

go to some site that does custom systems. That is unless you want a regular computer. That is kinda good on everything and not really too GREAT on anything.

E-machines are only if you are short some cash, and/or if you don't need it to handle playing 2 GB games and a million other tasks at the same time.
Hell, I play WC3 on this E-machine computer and it works excellently. Doesn't even lag on the "laggy" custom maps.

Well your options are certainly limited by budget, so what is the max you can/are willing to spend?
