Ok, I'm having trouble with Gimp. I want to make this really cool flame looking background but I have no idea how to start and I read the tutorial which gave me no help. Any advice?

PS I'll be making some stuff once my comp gets its spyware/viruses/whatever my sister got on here removed.

Thats the first thing i noticed about FFart. I actually thought it read FFart as f-f-f-fart (studdering) yeah im dumb. Anyway um im planning on submitting a few, always wanted to create some random art with PS for FFr..

ive already finished my 1st possible entry for burnout, and will start on ......belwo the surface.. is that what its called? w/e ...

a hint to those who want to make it a good look, listen to the song, and figure out what element it reminds you of...
i might as well say what below the surface reminds me of.... a passing rain, it gets strong and the rain hits, then begins to fade away for a bit then starts again... but maybe its just me, but therefore i go with the element's color, a nice blue, not deep because during a storm there are no pure colors, the sun is normally blocked, therefore causes a greyish blue... maybe that one will help some of you guys who are entering but dont know where to start... well there, now you can copy me on that entry :P

ok i made one for all of them. then i visited this thread and got a lil scared so i remade all of them and their 300x's better than before. I really wanna see the BG's that beat mine..

All you'll hear after that is "lol torus" from Moogy.

Afro, the point of the thread is to get the people whos bookmark takes them straight to the forum the information they wouldn't see otherwise from the front page. I never look at the front page unless there's a thread saying I might want to.
